How old do I have to be for a piercing or tattoo?

You must be at least this old to be pierced sign: 4 & Up: Ear Lobes 14 & Up: Navels, Noses, and most ear Cartilage 18 & Up: All Other Piercings and Any Piercing That Requires the Removal of Clothing

Piercings

It depends on the piercing.

Ear Lobes we will pierce as young as age 4, depending on the child. They do need to be able to sit still for an extended period of time, including during the actual piercing.

Navels, Noses, and most Cartilage (ear) piercings we will pierce as young as age 14.

All other piercings are age 18 and over.

We use single-use needles and new sterile jewelry for every piercing. We never use a piercing “gun”.

Any piercing that requires the removal of clothing is limited to those who are 18 and older.

Tattoos

You must be at least 16 years old to be tattooed with parental consent. Your parent or legal guardian must accompany you. Both you and your parent/guardian must bring your valid state issued ID (drivers license, learners permit, state ID card, passport). If your guardian is not your parent, you must bring legal documentation to prove guardianship. We will not tattoo minors in an area that cannot be covered by a polo/short sleeve dress shirt.

You must be at least 18 years old to be tattooed without parental consent. Please remember to bring a valid state issued ID (drivers license, learners permit, state ID card, passport). We do ask for it and we do turn people away who don’t bring one.
