Why Choose an Appointment-Only Private Tattoo Studio

The old school classic โ€œget tattooed in the windowโ€ street shop is classic for a reason, but times change and not everyone likes being on display. Some artists decide an appointment-only private tattoo studio is the move from the start. Levi & Lili has its roots as a street shop. We love street shop culture. Street shop culture does not love chronic illnesses so we pivoted. Hard. We thought it was time to highlight the benefits of being appointment only vs. all walk-ins all the time.

You already know our basics. Weโ€™ve always had them, even when we took walk-inโ€™s six days a week. Some things have always been non-negotiable for us.

Private Rooms

Just to get it out of the way since it is not appointment-specific. While we are not a truly private single-artist studio, we have private rooms that each have four walls. Weโ€™ve never been a fan of open floor design, and we have always thought our customers arenโ€™t either. While we downsized a bit with our move, we retained individual rooms. We lost closable doors, however we can pull a curtain across each doorway to maintain visual privacy at your request. Why is this a big deal? You arenโ€™t on display. This isnโ€™t reality tv and we are not streaming live.

Keeping You Entertained

Each room is equipped with a large screen television and multiple streaming services to choose from while you are tattooed. Is music more your speed? We can do that too.

Need it to be quiet? We can accommodate that, but we do suggest bringing noise-cancelling headphones/ear buds/ear plugs as we canโ€™t promise other noises might not startle you. What kinds of noises? We may have multiple artists working at the same time. The tattoo machines make their own noise. Humans like to breathe (hey, that can make noise too!). Our current artists do like to have something on while working, usually music if you donโ€™t have a specific request. This is why we suggest a noise-cancelling something or other (so many options!) if you do need it to be more quiet.

Benefits of an Appointment-Only Private Tattoo Studio

Your deposit-secured appointment guarantees your time slot. That means no other customers, no interruptions from unexpected walk-ins, no wait time due to someone being ahead of you. If your appointment is for 2PM, weโ€™ve likely blocked out our day to give us time to get ready before you arrive, blocked out your time entirely, and added time at the end to fully clean up & sanitize our station after youโ€™ve left.

Stencil Time

Your time includes time to apply the stencil. While we feel this should be obvious, we want to spell out exactly what this means.

It means that if you donโ€™t like the stencil placement we can move it until itโ€™s perfect. If it looks too big or too small we can adjust the size and reapply a new stencil. If you check it out in the mirror and itโ€™s a millimeter off or not centered or looks crooked or you just need to see it in a different spot, weโ€™ll move it. It does not make you an irritating customer, we promise.

We made the time to collaborate during your consult, we have the time to collaborate during your application as well. Itโ€™s your tattoo, itโ€™s forever, letโ€™s make it right.

Your Overall Comfort is Important

Yes, tattoos hurt. Itโ€™s just a fact. We want to do our best to mitigate that, or at least help keep your mind off it.

Your time block already accounts for things that help keep you comfortable. Need a break? Whether itโ€™s for the bathroom, a drink, a snack, or a stretch, let us know you need to take one. Need to change positions? Say something. No one wants a cramp or a whole leg (or whatever) going numb from being stuck in a bad position.

We mentioned it a couple of paragraphs up. Letโ€™s talk about it again. Private rooms mean no audience. No performance. No being forced to be a tough human whether that means not vocalizing that super painful area or means not holding in/suppressing a therapeutic CNS (central nervous system) release. Weโ€™re not here to judge what you use your personal chair time for. No one is popping in to watch, to listen, to talk over you, or suggest weird changes based on their own preferences. Unless you brought a friend. We canโ€™t account for that.

Show up in comfy clothes – something breathable, soft, good for hours of wear while sitting. Some people like jeans, some people like yoga pants, we canโ€™t tell you what you find comfortable.

Make the faces. Breathe with us (weโ€™ll coach you if youโ€™d like, weโ€™ll keep quiet if thatโ€™s better!). Hydrate. Bring your emotional support water bottle. We have a shelf for it. Have a meal before you come in. Bring a snack. Make sure your blood sugar isnโ€™t going to crash. We have lollipops. The pain will happen, but the pain is temporary. We want to help keep you as comfortable as possible for the duration.

Itโ€™s All About You

Tattooing is so intimate. Itโ€™s personal in a way few other things are and that means your time in the shop should have you at the center of your experience.

One in-person consultation before your design is created. One artist you vibed with. Likely many texts back and forth before your design is completed. One appointment. One chair. One client at a time.

This is your art, it is yours forever, and we want you to look at it and love it every day.

Now that weโ€™ve hopefully detailed some appointment-only private studio benefits for you, can we help you book your consultation?ย Text 754-200-1888ย or DMย LLTC on IGย @levililitattooย to get started today!
